A Very Satisfying Feeling

I have just typed the words ‘The End’ on the first draft of my next book. There‘a still a long way to go before publication (editing is never easy!!) but it’s a very satisfying feeling to know that the story is complete now, even if it needs some tweaks. It means that my head will no longer be filled day and night with ideas for dialogue and I’ll be able to walk without worrying I’ll have a fantastic idea that I’ll have forgotten when I get home (that happens regularly - I write in my head whilst walking then forget half of it by the time I actually sit down to type it up!).
